Monthly Membership Meetings The Friendly Sons holds its monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month at locations in Morris County. In addition to completion of normal organizational business there is an opportunity for members to enjoy Irish arts and culture, heritage speakers and socialize with fellow members. Past meetings have included traditional Irish music and songs performed by The Singing Sons; speaker: The Role of the Irish in Building America's Canals; speaker: A Proposal to Build an Irish-American Museum in Washington, DC; speakers: How to Research Your Irish Ancestry; a visit by young Irish interns in America through Project Children; speaker: The Irish in Roles of Leadership, Law Enforcement, etc.; Ceili Dancers and Santa Claus Examples of other events include Veteran's Appreciation Night and a speaker from the Irish Tourism Board.
